MOT View: Roberts & Hernandez to start – Predicted Leeds XI v Blackburn

Two goals, three points and another clean sheet against QPR was a more than satisfactory result for Leeds last Saturday.

Should Leeds have scored more? Not according to WyScout, who listed their xG for the game as just 1.04, and it was the first league game at Elland Road this season where Leeds have scored more than one, so it was a big step in the right direction.

Patrick Bamford didn’t score but he’ll be leading the line again on Saturday because of an injury to Eddie Nketiah.

There’s a rumour going around about his injury being to a particularly sensitive part of the body and while this hasn’t been corroborated, it is being reported that he’s out for the next three games, and hopefully back for the Middlesbrough game on November 30.

Jack Harrison is hitting some brilliant form and should be nailed on for the left-wing, but Helder Costa is still disappointing and Pablo Hernandez should be ready to start in his place. The prospect of Tyler Roberts (who was excellent against QPR) and Hernandez starting together is a mouth-watering one.

Mateusz Klich and Kalvin Phillips should make up the midfield.

If Ezgjan Alioski is fit then he should start on the left of defence, which would mean Stuart Dallas dropping out. Liam Cooper, Ben White, Luke Ayling and Kiko Casilla are all nailed on if fit.

It’s an exciting team and one that shouldn’t struggle to get the three points against a Blackburn side struggling in 16th place.
