MOT View: Rarely-seen Leeds ace not expected to be priority, summer exit would be no surprise
The Coronavirus suspension has led to questions regarding the future of many Leeds United players.
Loan players such as Ben White and Jack Harrison have deals at Elland Road until the end of the June, but the season could go past that depending on when the Championship begins again.
As well as that, players such as Gaetano Berardi and Will Huffer will see their current contracts expire at the club at the end of June.
There have been many questions surrounding that and how clubs will be expected to cope should the season extend into the summer.
Leeds Live has released a report claiming that the future of Huffer, in particular, is not a priority with injuries pushing him way down the pecking order this season.
They have also revealed that this enforced break could be the perfect time to resolve the future of Berardi at the club after his recent shining form.

Berardi is a player that certainly deserves a new deal – Huffer, is the complete opposite with the stopper having made no progress after making his senior debut.
Marcelo Bielsa has made his plans clear that he would like three strong keepers available to him. Victor Orta has signed three stoppers since he arrived, with Kiko Casilla, Illan Meslier and Elia Caprile all joining in the past two years.
The Caprile signature could certainly have put an end to Huffer’s career at Leeds, with the Italian already having cemented his spot in the under-23s and a spot on the senior bench during Casilla’s ongoing ban.
Huffer isn’t expected to be a priority at the club, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see him lead the summer exits at Elland Road.
