MOT View: Praise for 'unique talent' shows impressive rise of Leeds ace
Going into Tuesday’s clash with Hull City, many Leeds United fans will have had last season’s game at the back of their minds.
Leeds were on a similar winning run, and the Tigers came to Elland Road and snatched all three points thanks to a Jarrod Bowen brace.
It was roles reversed this season though, as the Whites went top of the table at the time with a win by the scoreline.
Bowen and Kamil Grosicki were the main threats, but Leeds coped well despite them being nearly involved in a goal every single game between them.
It was Stuart Dallas who was tasked with the role of keeping him quiet, and he did just that superbly well – gaining plaudits from the Elland Road faithful, one claiming he had Bowen in his back pocket all game.
That didn’t stop Ian Holloway from heaping praise on Bowen though for his displays this season – something we believe shows just how impressive Dallas has been and was on Tuesday.
“He’s quite a unique talent,” he told talkSPORT 2.
“He’s got blinding pace, lovely balance.
“He can play off the left or off the right, he’s not really the nine, not really the middle one, but the way Grant does it, he can end up in any one of those, and it’s the movement that gets him things.”

Dallas didn’t give the 22-year-old a single sniff at Elland Road, and it is hard to remember one single thing the Hull star did in the final third thanks to the tireless efforts of the Northern Ireland international.
The 28-year-old made six tackles in that game [WhoScored], and that only highlights just how impressive he was, as he has definitely cemented his spot down the left-hand side of Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
