MOT View: One stunning moment from Leeds rout v Stoke sees 19/20 Championship record broken

Leeds United play some incredible football for the Championship.

They might frustrate on occasions but when they gel the football is absolutely sublime.

Chief exhibit in the evidence from last night was the fourth goal in a 5-0 win, with Pablo Hernandez finishing off a 30-pass move that began with a throw-in near the Leeds corner flag.

Leeds put the “P” in patience with a goal that Pep Guardiola would have loved.

After waiting for an opening, Leeds hit with absolute laser precision, with just two touches in the Stoke half.

Patrick Bamford let the ball run to Hernandez who stroked the ball into the net.

Leeds are on the brink of the Premier League, that much we know, but how far can they go under Bielsa?

That’s a question that will take up many column inches this summer and if Leeds get their recruitment right and bring in quality players, we think the sky could be the limit.

These players will rightly get their chance, though. Bielsa doesn’t do big change and it means that players who thought their level was the Championship will get to live out their dream in the top-flight next season.

From 13th in the second tier under Paul Heckingbottom to the pinnacle of English football under Bielsa.

Quite simply, the man is a legend.
