Leeds United fans are right to be delighted after looking at the footage from Thorp Arch after the Under-23s won the Premier League 2 Division title on Friday.
The Under-23s sealed the title with an impressive win against Aston Villa which saw Sam Greenwood score another stunning free-kick
Coach Mark Jackson used a staggering 43 different players this season, giving players from all ages a chance to impress first-team coach Marcelo Bielsa who has paid close attention to everything going on with the developmental sides.
To celebrate this major achievement, senior team players like, Luke Ayling, Illan Meslier, Pascal Struijk, Gaetano Berardi, Pablo Hernandez, Ezgjan Alioski and Kalvin Phillips were among those providing the applause.
They gave a guard of honour to everyone involved with the youth setup who’ve done themselves and the club proud over the course of the season.

Good things happening at Leeds
This is a remarkable achievement and one that all Leeds United fans are right to proud of.
The tweet below is very representative of what the fans think about it and the way the club is being run in general.
Absolutely fantastic this. 😍😍 How @andrearadri has turned this club around is amazing. 😍

Losing their first game of the season by a 4-0 score to Stoke City, few expected the kind of bounce back Jackson’s men have shown – and that’s down to the club DNA to keep fighting until the wheels fall off.
Due credit must be given to owner Andrea Radrizzani for bringing this sense of togetherness to the club.
The Italian has been pivotal behind the scenes getting in the right personnel and providing the funds we needed to get up.
This is no short-term project, as evidenced by what’s going on in the Academy. Radrizzani and Bielsa are putting in the foundations to build Leeds back to the top table again.
Pitching the Leeds United project to Bielsa was also something that he did perfectly, and since joining, the Argentine has taken the club from strength to strength.
This is already Bielsa’s longest stint ever at any club and with the way things are looking at the moment, he could be here for a while.
