MOT View: Injury forces Bielsa into key change - Predicted Leeds starting XI v Spurs

Leeds United travel to Tottenham on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their run of form in the Premier League.

The Whites have kept back-to-back clean-sheets and have swept aside Burnley and West Brom scoring six goals in the process.

Marcelo Bielsa has named the same starting XI for both of those games but could have been handed more injury problems.

El Loco confirmed after the game at the Hawthorns that Mateusz Klich has picked up a fresh injury worry.

The Polish international was forced off in the 5-0 win, and Bielsa admitted after the clash that it was a thigh problem, with the severity unknown.

Leeds aren’t known for taking risks with their players, and we are predicting that Klich will be missing from the trip to the capital on Saturday.

The only other change will be dependant on whether or not Liam Coope recovers from his abdominal strain, but Pascal Struijk has done enough to keep his spot.

Here is our predicted starting XI for the game with Spurs…

Jamie Shackleton came on to replace Klich against West Brom, and impressed with his busy cameo in the heart of midfield, although it would be a massive step-up against Tottenham.

Pablo Hernandez would have been a start if it was a so-called easier game, but Bielsa will surely want a little more defensive prowess in the middle of his side.

We expect Illan Meslier to continue with the same back four ahead of him after Ezgjan Alioski and Stuart Dallas both were involved in goals at the Hawthorns.

Kalvin Phillips is on four bookings, and Bielsa admitted that he will worry about that potential suspension when it arrives.

Raphinha, Rodrigo, Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford are undroppable at this moment in time, so they will continue this weekend.

Spurs are playing this evening, and that extra night of rest could give the Whites the advantage against a side that has been criticised recently – bring it on.
