MOT View: BT pundit comments on reported Leeds target could reveal potential masterclass
Leeds United have been reported by the Sun to be readying a big-money bid for Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen.
The newspaper claimed on their website that the Whites are preparing a £3million loan fee with a £15million obligation to buy at the end of the season should they earn promotion.
Since then, a lot of cold water has been poured on that speculation, with Beren Cross claiming that Hull are happy to keep hold of the free-scoring attacker until the end of the season.
Bowen got the chance to show his skills in front of a Premier League side on Saturday evening in the 2-1 defeat against Chelsea in the FA Cup.
He gained an admirer in Joe Cole, who was a pundit for BT Sports at the KCOM Stadium in Yorkshire over the weekend.
“He’s scoring goals in the Championship, he’s a dribbler, he’s got a knack for goals. His record is unbelievable, he’s like the sixth-highest scorer in Hull’s history,” he said.

“He is a handful, he’s one that any Premier League club in a relegation battle or in the middle of the table, I think they will be looking at him very seriously.”
Cole’s comments on the fact that Premier League clubs need to look at Bowen very seriously prove that Leeds could have pulled off a masterclass if they were able to secure his services this month.

Leeds fans may not have to worry though, with reports suggesting that RB Leipzig forward Jean-Kevin Augustin is set for a medical at Elland Road on Monday.
