Leeds United star Luis Sinisterra surely embarrassed after what Javi Gracia decided to do

Leeds United salvaged a 2-2 draw against Brighton on Saturday 11 March, with Javi Gracia not exactly winning over the fans despite the result.

The Spaniard instructed his side to let the away team have the ball in their own half, something that worked for small periods, but infuriated the home support who are used to relentless pressing.

Despite having millions of pounds worth of attacking talent on the bench, it wasn’t enough to earn all three points at Elland Road and get out of the Premier League relegation zone.

Luis Sinisterra was one of those who will be left scratching his head.

Rodrigo came on for Patrick Bamford but did not look fully fit after returning ahead of his injury schedule, with Georginio Rutter also making a limited impact.

Willy Gnonto was one of those who did come on and make a difference, with his direct running and ability on the ball always causing problems for any defence he faces.

Sinisterra, though, despite his timely return from injury got no more than 30 seconds on the pitch it seems, with his one-touch coming just after the referee blew for full-time.

Embarrassing.

Sinisterra must have been sitting on the bench scratching his head on Saturday, with the decision not to bring him on baffling when Leeds were chasing the game.

Instead, he was used by Gracia to simply waste time it seems, as he was left shaking his head once the whistle had blown ending his hope of one last counter-attack.

Gracia must find a way to end this awful run of form in front of goal, with it taking two wonder strikes on Saturday, as plenty of good opportunities were wasted with the final ball.

So, to see one of our big-money attacking signings who has proven himself in the Premier League already sat on the bench for more than 90 minutes is puzzling.

The Colombian has found the back of the net with some brilliant strikes against both Brentford and Everton and will be itching to get more minutes against Wolves next time out.

His treatment will surely have left him embarrassed by Gracia, who will be looking for a better solution to go into the international break in a positive moment and out of the bottom three.
