Leeds United signing young RB Salzburg striker Junior Adamu will be good business

Leeds United are interested in signing RB Salzburg striker Junior Adamu this summer, according to Sky Sports.

Jessie Marsch will be keen on improving his squad ahead of the next campaign after the Whites narrowly escaped relegation.

As per the report, the Austria under-21 striker could be available for a fee in the region of £8.5million which would make him an ideal player to sign for any club.

Leeds will be relatively confident of securing the signing of the young striker as they’ve already done business with the same hierarchy by signing Brenden Aaronson and with Rasmus Kristensen set to follow him through the doors.

Exciting signing

Marcelo Bielsa may have been sacked last season due to poor results, but his DNA and attacking philosophy will stay at Elland Road for a long time.

Despite the problems, Leeds have in their midfield and at the back, this signing will show that they are not afraid to take it to the opponent teams, regardless of their stature.

In the 2020-21 season, which was their first season back in the top flight, they were one of the few teams to go unbeaten against the Premier League champions Manchester City.

In the 2021-22 Austrian League, Adamu scored seven goals and provided five assists in 30 appearances across all competitions [Transfermarkt]. His quick pace and trickery made him an asset to RB Salzburg.

Apart from his attacking instincts, he has shown versatility as he can drop deep and combine with his midfielders and wingers.

If Leeds are defending a result, he also has the tendency to drop back and help out his defenders, especially on set-pieces.

At this bargain price, this could be a brilliant piece of transfer business.
