Leeds United signing Bamba Dieng will provide good competition for Patrick Bamford
Leeds United are one of the clubs interested in signing Marseille forward Bamba Dieng in this transfer window, according to 90min.
The Whites have been in the market to sign players to strengthen the attacking department ahead of the next season.
As per the latest report, Leeds are facing competition from a number of Premier League clubs for the signing of Dieng including Newcastle and West Ham United.
Leeds resurgence as a club was solely based on the philosophy installed by former manager Marcelo Bielsa where the best form of defence was attack.
Ever since he joined the club, the Whites became a powerhouse in the attacking department with not many teams able to compete with them when they were on song.
One of the reasons for their dismal campaign last season was the injury problems in the attacking department where the side’s only out-and-out striker Patrick Bamford missed the majority of the season due to injuries.
It is because of this reason the club must ensure that they get another body to ease some burden from the England international ahead of the next campaign and Dieng can prove to be just that.
While the 22-year-old has only one full season in the senior team at the club, his performances have been promising and he has shown time and again that he has the ability to improve and work hard for the team.
