Leeds United should make a move for Harry Winks in January

In August, Harry Winks was linked with a move to Leeds United by The Athletic, and we believe they should reignite their interest.

The 25-year-old will reportedly be allowed to depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on loan in January, and a move to Elland Road could make sense for all parties [The Times].

The Whites are pretty short of options in midfield, and Winks has been capped by England and has made plenty of Premier League appearances, but has struggled for game time so far this season.

Winks appears to have lost his way at Spurs under both Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo, but he is a quality player, and Marcelo Bielsa could bring the best out of him.

You don’t make 178 appearances for Spurs if you are not a good player, but maybe it is time he found a new home and Elland Road could be that place.

A loan would be good for all parties and would allow the Whites to test Winks out before deciding if they want to buy him or not.

Remember, he has been described as “amazing” by Mauricio Pochettino in the past and could just need a new manager to get the best out of him [Tottenham Hotspur].

Now, Bielsa has proven it many times in the past that he can develop players and Winks could be his latest project [Planet Football].

Ultimately, we believe that this is a signing that makes a lot of sense, and Winks could be a great addition to the Whites’ midfield.

In other Leeds United news, the club are closing in on another youth signing.
