Leeds United senior stars could learn from Max Dean after being spotted cleaning dressing room after win

Even at 18 years of age, Max Dean is showing everybody at Leeds United how to be a model citizen and he has received praise because of it.

The striker is currently excelling for the Whites’ Under-18s side this season but he has stepped up to the Under-21s recently with Sonny Perkins, Mateo Joseph Fernandez and more with the senior team in Spain.

As a result, he has had the chance to lead the line while the youth side play their own round of games against foreign opposition and it was a Spanish side that loved what he did after their game.

Dean, born in Ormskirk, scored the only goal of the game as Leeds United Under-21s beat Orihuela 1-0 and they hailed the youngster while showing images of him cleaning the dressing room after the match.

β€œMany thanks to Leeds United for their civility, for their generosity and respect for us and our facilities. See you soon and good luck in the future,” Orihuela said on Twitter.

Jesse Marsch might not have any immediate plans to bring Dean into the first-team fold as he has done with Perkins, Fernandez, Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood this season but he will certainly have taken note of his humility.

If he is smart, he will have brought the whole group together prior to training on Wednesday (7 December) and shown them these images and demand similar from the senior members of the club.

The likes of Luke Ayling, Liam Cooper and Jack Harrison should be expected to lead the way in the future and similar acts have to be carried out on every away trip.

There will be somebody who is paid to clean up after these professional footballers but they should have their lives made easier from time to time.

In other Leeds United news, their pursuit of this international defender could be in jeopardy as his club are now looking to renew his contract.
