Leeds United must push hard to sign James McAtee after new details emerge from Man City
Leeds United target James McAtee is set for more first-team minutes at Manchester City in the upcoming 2022-23 season, according to The Athletic.
The Whites have been extremely active in the transfer market with three additions to the squad already confirmed.
Recently, they’ve been linked with a move for McAtee in a potential deal involving Kalvin Phillips.
However, as per the latest report, the reigning Premier League champions’ management is keen to give the youngster much-needed minutes in senior football next season.
If McAtee makes a decision of staying at the Etihad Stadium, it is important for Jesse Marsch to either consider alternatives or keep some of the most-wanted players in his squad at the club.

As City are also linked with a move for Phillips, it remains to be seen how this decision influences the transfer move reportedly going the other way.
Regardless of whether McAtee ends up staying at City or joining Leeds, either of those teams are going to have an amazing player.
The teenager scored 18 goals and provided seven assists across 23 appearances for the U23s in the recently concluded season [Transfermarkt].
Those numbers are eye opener for any side planning for the future and in all fairness, the Whites should push it a little harder to make the youngster think again about his decision because they might well have an extraordinary player in the side if they manage to sign McAtee.
In other Leeds United news, Fabrizio Romano has shared if a ‘Sensational’ defensive midfielder has agreed terms for an Elland Road switch and become the club’s fourth summer signing.
