Leeds United must make a move for Sassuolo star Jeremie Boga
Leeds United need reinforcements in January, or they could be in for a tough relegation battle.
The news that Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford are all injured removes the spine of the team [Telegraph].
Therefore, you would think the Whites will be looking to sign a centre-back, a central midfielder and a striker.
However, why stop there?
Leeds were linked with a move for Sassuolo’s 24-year-old attacker Jeremie Boga in the summer, and they should look to make a move for him in January [Daily Mail].
This is because Boga’s contract with the Serie A side expires in 2023, and his representatives have made it clear that he has no intention of signing a new deal [Calciomercato, 6 December].

Therefore, it appears as if Boga will either leave in January or next summer.
Now, one would think that a lot of clubs would be keen on signing Boga next summer, which is why the Whites should act quickly and sign him in January.
So far this season, he hasn’t scored a goal but has provided three assists in nine appearances.
So, he is a force to be reckoned with, and he could add a different attacking dimension to this Leeds team.
He has been described as “unstoppable” by Breaking The Lines in the past (2020), so he is certainly a player we can see doing some damage under Marcelo Bielsa’s guidance.
Therefore, we will be keeping a close eye on this one, and you just have to hope that the Whites strike before anyone else.
