Leeds United man Illan Meslier wows Hugo Lloris
Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has wowed Tottenham Hotspur and France number one Hugo Lloris.
Speaking to RMC [via leedsunited_news], the Frenchman showered his fellow countryman in praise and predicted big things ahead for Meslier.
The 21-year-old has yet to make a senior appearance for Les Bleus, but if he keeps his place as Leeds’ starting goalkeeper, then surely that won’t be far away, especially given Lloris and Steve Mandanda’s age.
Lloris said: “There’s Illan Meslier, who is doing very nice things in the Premier League. He’s a young goalkeeper, but when you look at what he’s doing at his age, in such a tough and intense league, it shows all his potential.”
The Frenchman, who has made 309 Premier League appearances, knows a thing or two about playing regularly for both his club side and national team.
Therefore, he must really be impressed by Meslier, and this is a lovely thing to read as the Frenchman must be doing something right to earn all this praise.

Since Leeds were promoted to the Premier League, Meslier has been Marcelo Bielsa’s number one goalkeeper despite being so young.
So, the future is very bright for Meslier, and hopefully, senior international recognition is just around the corner for the 21-year-old.
The truth is he can’t do anything more than he is doing currently, and if Lloris likes him, you would think that it was only a matter of time before he earns a senior call-up.
These are some nice words from Lloris, who has achieved a lot in the game and clearly knows a good player when he sees one, so Meslier should have a huge future ahead of him.
