Leeds United could do with a player like Mateusz Bogusz
Leeds United have not had the greatest start to the season; they have failed to win a game in the Premier League and are in 18th place.
Injuries have also hit Marcelo Bielsa’s squad, and they do look short in a few postions.
The Whites do have options all over the pitch, but they appear to have lacked that spark and energy in some matches, and Mateusz Bogusz is showing them what they are missing.
The 20-year-old Pole is currently on a season-long loan with UD Ibiza in the Spanish second tier, but he is playing very well and appears to be getting better and better.
He has scored three goals and provided one assist in six games so far this season and is proving himself to be a good player.
His latest goal was an absolute screamer as he picked up the ball from 25-yards-out and bent in a stunning strike, and this is what the Whites are missing at the moment [LUFC Youth Academy].
Yes, the quality of the opposition must be considered, but Bogusz is performing remarkably well on loan.
He has been described as “fantastic” by former Polish Under-21 manager Czeslaw Michniewicz, and appears to be putting the building blocks in place to have a good career at Elland Road like his Polish counterpart Mateusz Klich [Sport One].
If he keeps playing like this, then Leeds should look to recall him in January and add him to the first-team squad.
He could provide a bit of unpredictability and energy, which we believe has been missing from Leeds’ team so far this season.
