Leeds United can't keep playing Tyler Roberts
Tyler Roberts can’t keep playing for Leeds United after yet another shocker in the 2-1 defeat against Spurs.
The way he is performing isn’t helping himself or the team, and he could become a target for frustrated fans if Marcelo Bielsa continues to pick him.
The Welsh international started the game against Tottenham Hotspur on the bench, but he was brought on for the final 18 minutes.
In that time, he touched the ball just nine times as well as failing to have a shot or create a key pass.
He also only completed 20% of his passes, so it was a poor display from Roberts [WhoScored].
Unfortunately, this wasn’t his only poor display of the season as he has made 12 league appearances in which he has failed to score a goal or provide an assist.

His average WhoScored league rating is also just 6.19, so it is clear that he is massively struggling, and it is time for him to come out of the squad even if he is mainly just used as a substitute.
A sub should have an impact on the game, but he is failing to do that, and it is hard watching him struggle through games.
Perhaps he just isn’t at the required standard to play in the Premier League?
That is certainly a possibility, and though the Whites have a lot of injury problems at the moment, you would think that they could use someone else in his place.
It is a shame because Roberts is someone who Bielsa clearly rates, but it just isn’t working at the moment, and it is time for him to come out of the team.
