Leeds United can make another move for Nahitan Nandez
Nahitan Nandez was a player who Leeds United looked at continuously over the summer.
The rumours started in Italy in April [26th] and progressed over the course of the whole transfer window [Centotrentuno].
However, they didn’t make a move, and he remained with Cagliari, and he has made 15 appearances this season.
He won’t be leaving on loan, but the Whites could strike and bring him in on a permanent transfer.
Marcelo Bielsa’s squad doesn’t have enough options in the centre of midfield, and that was before Kalvin Phillips suffered a bad injury that could keep him out for some time [Daily Mail].
Now that has happened, the Argentine only has Adam Forshaw, Mateusz Klich and Stuart Dallas as first-team central midfielders.
Therefore, you would think a new central midfielder should be a priority for the Whites in January.
Nandez surely fits the profile and could be a perfect addition to this Leeds team.
The 25-year-old is a full international and has a lot of energy.
He looks perfectly suited to the Premier League, and after this latest update, the Whites have to reignite their move for Nandez.
However, you would think that a lot of clubs might also look to add the Uruguayan international to their squad.
So, the Whites need to act quickly, but if they can strike and get Nandez, that would be a big boost, and they would be getting someone who could massively improve their midfield.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have lined up a January move for a 21-year-old title-winner.
