Jeff Stelling predicts USA v Wales, it's not great news for Leeds United duo Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson
Leeds United duo Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson won’t be happy with the prediction made by Jeff Stelling ahead of the USA’s World Cup clash against Wales.
The Sky Sports Soccer Saturday host has predicted a 0-0 draw for this Group B clash on Monday (21 November). The Whites duo are expected to play a big role for the country in this edition’s World Cup in Qatar, and they would be looking to get off to a flyer.
Leeds United have only three players representing their country in the World Cup, and two of them are from the same nation.
“I think England will get off to winning ways in the World Cup,” Stelling predicted on Sky Sports Super 6.
“Iran will sit deep and make it very hard to break them down, but I think the Three Lions will have too much quality and be able to unpick them, albeit it may come in the second half.
“Elsewhere, Wales will pick up a point in a tough battle against the USA, while Lionel Messi will be in the goals against Saudi Arabia.”
Both Adams and Aaronson have proved to be a big success at Elland Road after joining the club in the summer.
Aaronson, especially, has the ability to conjure up moments of brilliance, and he could be a top-class player in the future. Blessed with dazzling skills and a raw pace, Aaronson is a joy to watch.
The 22-year-old has made 14 appearances this season in the Premier League, managing one goal and two assists. But, he has caught the eyes of pundits this season, with Ian Wright hailing him as “magnificent” on Premier League Tv Production on Sunday (10 October) after his brilliant performance against Crystal Palace.
Adams has been a regular for Jesse Marsch’s side, and he is pivotal to this team. The central midfielder has made 13 appearances this season and has received rave reviews from fans and pundits alike.
Leeds fans will surely be hoping that the duo come up with top performances in the World Cup, and get wide recognition. These two players have got great potential, and the stage is right there infront of them to shine.
