Javi Gracia must watch his back at Leeds United as Patrick Vieira now available
Javi Gracia will be looking over his shoulder right now at Elland Road as a summer of change awaits at Leeds United under the 49ers Enterprises.
The American consortium should finally complete their full takeover from Andrea Radrizzani and this could lead to wholesale changes on and off the pitch.
Even with the 4-2 win against Wolves on Saturday 18 March that took his side out of the relegation zone could mean very little to Gracia with uncertainty still clouding the future.
Regardless of what division the Whites are in, a new manager may be needed to end this uncertainty.
The Mirror reported on 18 March that Gracia is currently living out of a suitcase at a nearby hotel, with no concrete arrangements in place not exactly screaming a long-term future.
Add that to the breaking news of Patrick Vieira being sacked by Crystal Palace on Friday 17 March, and all eyes may be on the Frenchman after The Athletic shared that he was intrigued by the Elland Road post after Jesse Marsch was sacked.

It all depends on what vision the 49ers have for the club, but this is certainly intriguing.
With Vieira moving on, it could mean that Leeds now have a free shot at the French icon who would clearly not turn his nose up at managing the Whites at Elland Road.
As Leeds have found in recent months, appointing a new manager is not exactly easy, so having someone free and wanting the role with Premier League experience may be too good to turn down.
With more money and bigger plans available under the 49ers though, Leeds may aim much higher.
So, this could be one to watch if Leeds end up in the Championship, with a young and hungry manager ready to prove himself at the top level again given the chance to get there.
All of this is hypothetical, but one thing for sure is that Gracia should certainly be looking over his shoulder.
In other Leeds news, one Elland Road hero has admitted he “was angry” at Jesse Marsch after his exit was confirmed but he hopes to return one day.
