Charles De Ketelaere could finally sign for Leeds United in January transfer window
It appears as though Leeds United have not seen all hope of signing Charles De Ketelaere disappear already only months after AC Milan confirmed his signing.
Voetbalkrant has dropped a mindblowing new update this week (02 November), sharing that the Whites have held their interest since losing out, and could make their move again.
Leeds, as well as Newcastle, are said to want to take advantage of early struggles at the San Siro, as AC Milan may look to cut their losses on the Belgian wonder.
The Serie A giant paid just above £28million to sign De Ketelaere from Club Brugge, as they were the players preference over a move to Elland Road.
That was despite Leeds making a bigger offer of £35million – something that will have smashed the transfer record in West Yorkshire, although it wasn’t meant to be.
Although, that could all be set to change.
This could be the biggest saga of the January transfer window.
Of course, there is the small hurdle of the World Cup to jump over first, with there being a real chance of De Ketelaere playing a big role with Belgium, something that could see AC Milan welcome him back with open arms.
Should that go downhill too, Leeds must be ready to take advantage.
AC Milan were widely reported to be in financial trouble before they coughed up the cash after months of negotiations over the summer, so it isn’t beyond them to need to sell him quickly if things get worst.
Andrea Radrizzani will be watching this ongoing situation with a lot of intrigue with the 49ers Enterprises being kept in the loop ahead of the transfer window.
Could De Ketelaere finally sign for the Whites? We refuse to take our eyes off this one.
