Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to share their delight at Stuart McKinstry signing a new deal with the club.
The Whites confirmed the news via their official website on Sunday.
The 17-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Elland Road having signed for Marcelo Bielsa’s men from Motherwell in July of last year.
And the general consensus surrounding the winger is that he is one to keep an eye on in the coming years.
McKinstry has already graduated from the U18s setup to the U23s after just 14 matches.
Since making the step up he has hit two goals in seven matches – an impressive return considering his age and his tendency to occupy a wide berth.
It would appear that he’s making positive strides at Thorp Arch too.
Tying him down to a new long-term deal is, therefore, an absolute no-brainer.
Taking a more holistic view of things, it’s really pleasing to see Leeds act with such efficiency as well.
We’ve already seen new deals Mateusz Bogusz, Oliver Casey, Bobby Kamwa and Alfie McCalmont in recent times, and the fact that the Whites are making such an effort to keep hold of their brightest young talents would suggest that the future will be an exciting one at Elland Road.
Here are some of the best reactions from Leeds supporters:
From what i've seen of him in the 23's he is going to have a bright future. Cracking player.
